Born and raised outside of the greater NYC metropolitan area, Douglas Purver is a director and artist of moving imagery, empowered by oddity & childlike wonder. With a commitment to crafting a sophisticated viewing experience, each as unique as the challenges they present, he maintains a cinematic authenticity creating extraordinary realities.
His captivating short film, “Omar & his Skyhook” earned him a spot in SHOOT Magazine’s New Directors Showcaseand it traveled around the world on the festival circuit. His stunning time bending spec spot for New Balance, “running green” garnered much attention throughout 2010 with its technical accomplishments in cinematography and cg created content.
Through his vast experience, douglas has acquired a deep and varied skill set in post-production techniques and technology, providing him with a diverse toolkit he now implements in his directorial work.
